Did the press ever listen to what the Iranian President ever had to say or was it determined to focus on whether he should even be heard? Can we ever have peace if we don't listen to our "enemies?" And how do these countries become our enemies?
Anyone who has ever observed the media from abroad can tell you about the difference in perspective. Yet the core companies controlling the vast majority of American media rarely give equal time to opinions outside of the government's or the mainstream. Democracy is supposed to thrive on the competition of ideas and governance through public debate. Can this one succeed without it or are we doomed for a "99% totalatarian state?"
